Lush NA Chat Party Haul

I was so excited to finally get my package from the Lush NA chat party. The chat party was a lot of fun and I couldn't believe all the new holiday products. I know it is a little early for Christmas products but I couldn't resist and ordered a few things.

Snow Fairy Shower Gel

Rating: 4/5

I absolutely loved the sweet, candy scent of Godmother soap (and oddly enough my boyfriend is obsessed with this scent too) so of course I had to order some Snow Fairy shower gel. Lush's shower gels are a bit pricey. I ordered the small 3.3 oz size just so I could try it and payed $9 for it so yeah I thought that was a little ridiculous. But either way this shower gel smells even more amazing to me than Godmother and is a gorgeous pink color with little flecks of shimmer in it.

Butterball Shower Gel

Rating: 3/5

Butterball Shower Gel was a limited edition shower gel made just for the NA chat party. This shower gel was actually the main reason I decided to order from the chat party in the first place because everyone was raving about it. I was hoping I would love it as much as everyone else but to me it smells a bit like mange too and chox away soap, both of which I don't particularly love. Although I'm a chocoholic and love sweet scents, I feel like the smell of Butterball SG is a strange, almost sickening, white chocolate smell. It also surprised me that my shower gel was a little runny. This definitely wasn't worth the 25 dollars I spent on it.

Snow Fairy Solid Perfume

Rating: 5/5

This was probably the product I was most excited to get because I love the scent of Snow Fairy, and just like the shower gel, this solid perfume smells exactly like Godmother soap. I love this solid perfume. The scent is amazingly sweet and it lasts on my skin for hours unlike some of Lush's other solid perfumes.

Snowcake Soap

Rating: 3/5

I was so disappointed with this soap. I love the smell of marzipan and almonds but in my opinion this soap just smells weird.

Sexy Boy Massage Bar

Rating: 4/5

I love Lush's massage bars, and Sexy Boy is one of my favorite. The name and the little gingerbread man shape are so cute. It is larger in size than most of the other massage bars but it is also thinner. To me Sexy Boy also is less greasy and feels silkier than the other massage bars. It's scent is very unique, its not very christmasy but smells like a sweet mixture of coconut and lime.

Gnome Name Bubble Bar

Rating: ?

This bubble bar is adorable and I think it was made to look like a little Christmas elf. Apparently each Lush store is going to have a different name for this bubble bar to represent all the different names every culture has for it's Christmas elves. It has a sweet, soda smell that is a little similar to snow fairy. I haven't tried it in the bath yet, and I'm a little reluctant to because its so cute, so I'll wait to review it.

Fairy Tale Sugar Scrub

Rating: 4/5

This sugar scrub was made to look like a little sugar mouse and smells like Strawberry Feels Forever Massage Bar or Yummy Yummy Yummy shower gel. It has a sweet strawberry scent, which I love.

Father Frost Soap

Rating: 1/5

I got a little sliver of this soap as a sample and I have to say that I hated the smell. I know its weird but to me it smelled like celery or something. I gave it to my boyfriend so I wont be using it in the shower.

Lush Skincare Review

Recently I've become obsessed with everything Lush, so here I'll be reviewing Lush products and also MAC and other makeup products.

My rating system:
5/5 - Amazing, can't live without!
4/5- Would definitely buy again but not the most amazing product
3/5 - Not bad, maybe I would buy again
2/5 - Not the greatest
1/5 - I hate it! Wouldn't use again

For my first review ill start with some products from Lush's skincare line.

For reference I have normal but somewhat sensitive and acne-prone skin.

Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser
Rating: 4/5

I've been using Angels on Bare Skin for about four months now and I've found it to be a great, basic morning cleanser. I love the herbal smell. The exfoliating almonds are gentle enough for everyday use and the oils in the cleanser make it somewhat moisturizing as well. I know a lot of people are worried about how all the oils in Angels on Bare Skin will affect acne, but I've found that while this cleanser doesn't really help clear my spots it also doesn't make my breakouts worse. I use Angels on Bare Skin almost every morning and it leaves my skin bright and soft. I only wish it would help with the few spots I do have.

Ultra Bland Cleanser
Rating: 5/5

I cannot tell you enough how much I love using Ultra Bland to remove make up. It works so well and gets my makeup off better than any other makeup remover I've used. Although it is an oil based cleanser it hasn't made me break out at all. It also is very gentle on skin so you don't have to rub a whole lot to get your makeup off. I just apply a small amount to dry skin, rub it around until my entire face is covered, and then use warm water and a wash cloth to get it offmy face. After cleansing with Ultra Bland I spray Tea Tree Toner on a cotton ball and wipe my face to get rid of any left over cleanser or make up. It really leaves my skin soft and gets most of my make up off except some of my mascara.

Dark Angels Cleanser
Rating: 4/5

This cleaner is kind of like a mix betweem Angels on Bare Skin and Coalface, its more exfoliating than Angels on Bare Skin but not as drying as Coalface. When I use Dark Angels once or twice a week I find that it helps to clear my breakouts. Dark Angels is very dark and messy so I only use it before I get into the shower so that I don't get black water spots and cleanser all over my bathroom. This cleanser is very exfoliating but when I use it once or twice a week it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin at all.

Ocean Salt
Rating: 3/5

I think that Ocean Salt is just okay as a face cleanser. For me its a little too abrasive and it always seems to sting my skin. It also doesn't really clear my breakouts or whiteheads and I think sometimes it might actually cause me to break out. I do really love the margarita type smell and occasionally use it as a body exfoliator and it works pretty well.

Coalface

Rating: 2/5

Coalface really didn't do anything for my skin. Its easier to use than Lush's other cleansers because its in a bar soap foam and it lathers nicely. However, it didn't smell very good and was a little drying.

Tea Tree Toner

Rating: 2/5
For a while I really liked this because it helped get leftover cleanser and dirt off of my skin and didn't burn like other toners. But I recently realized that this was really drying and was the cause of the breakouts on my chin. So next I think I'm going to try Eau Roma Water Toner.
